Just back from our luthier and playing better than ever.
This 1955 Martin D-18 just received a professional neck reset along with some fret work, and it’s now ready for its next chapter. Classic mid-’50s mahogany dreadnought tone—woody, articulate, and incredibly responsive. The finish is play worn, nicked and scratched but original and has a wonderful patina. It is a guitar that was used for many years but never abused. All the restoration of this guitar was for playability issues, frets, neck set, and not for structure or damage. It is now a very good sounding, very playable example of a 50's D-18.
-Bridge and bridge plate appear original, but bridge may have been reglued at some point in it's life.
A wonderful player’s example of one of the most revered vintage Martins. Freshly dialed in and available for sale now. One owner, played extensively. Nice and broken in!-note initials FIC are in the bottom bout of top. Not noticeable until you get it into certain light angles.
Comes with period correct hardshell case (handle broken)
