7 lbs. 15 oz.
This 1961 bass is in VG, player grade condition. Still in really good nick 64 year old instrument! Slight lacquer checking and some dings and dents, but shows a lot of character. The back of the neck shows hand wear on finish but must have had flatwounds on it most of it's life, so zero player wear on the frets. Tips of the pickguard are cracked from shrinkage. 100% all original with non-original hardshell case. The EB-0 was Gibson’s answer to the Fender Precision Bass, and the 1961 model is especially interesting because it was part of the early "SG-style" redesign. Originally, the EB-0 looked more like a Les Paul Jr. with a slab mahogany body (1959–1960), but in mid-'61, Gibson gave it the double-cutaway SG shape — lighter, easier upper fret access, and super cool looking.
