1965 Specific Notes:

  •  mid-to-late '65, Gibson shifted to the narrow nut and the large batwing guard.

  • Nickel hardware transitioning to chrome by the mid-to-late '60s.:

  • It's one of the last SG Juniors made before major late-60s changes (like heavy headstocks and bulkier bodies).

  • The P-90 in these is known for its raw, aggressive voice — perfect for rock, punk, and blues.

  • The simple design makes them lighter and more resonant than many other Gibsons.
