Comes with extra bridge and new Kluson Revolution tuners.
It’s a Gibson Custom Shop 1964 reissue of the classic ES-335 semi-hollow electric guitar.
The “VOS” stands for Vintage Original Spec — meaning the guitar has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish that’s meant to age like a vintage 1964.
The rest of the model code identifies the exact spec (neck shape, finish color, hardware, etc.) as defined by Gibson’s Custom Shop for that run.
Key Specs & Features

Finish: Nitrocellulose lacquer, Vintage-style “VOS.”
Neck: Solid Mahogany, ‘64 medium C-shape, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets.
Hardware: ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stop-bar tailpiece, Kluson double-ring tuners, nickel plating.
Pickups: Two “Custombucker” humbuckers (Alnico III) — neck and bridge — wired 2 volumes / 2 tones / 3-way toggle.
Other: Black pickguard (5-ply, wide bevel), small block inlays, vintage-style pots and wiring (CTS 500K, paper-in-oil caps).
It’s a semi-hollow electric — classic at its core, but built to vintage ’64 specs through Gibson’s Custom Shop.
As a reissue, it aims to replicate many details of an original 1964 ES-335: neck profile, body shape, finish feel, hardware and electronics spec.
The VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish gives it a “broken-in,” subtly aged feel, rather than a brand-new glossy modern look.
