🎸 Historical context & significance

  • Harrison used a full rosewood-body and rosewood-neck Telecaster during the filming of Let It Be and in the famous rooftop concert of Jan 1969. According to the Fender Custom Shop, they recreated that instrument in tribute.

  • The original late-’60s rosewood Telecasters were made only for a very short period and are highly collectible.

  • The Custom Shop version builds on that heritage: full rosewood body (or heavy rosewood material), rosewood neck & fretboard, period-correct specs, etc. For the model in question:

    • Body Wood: Indian Rosewood

    • Neck Wood: Rosewood, Fingerboard: Rosewood

    • Scale Length: 25.5" (

    • Neck carve: Mid-60’s Oval C

  • It carries the “Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler” designation, meaning it was built by one of the top builders at Fender’s Custom Shop — premium, limited run, high value.
