Valent Leather – Built Different. Built to Last.
Every Stitch Has a Purpose – I don’t add features for show. If it’s there, it earns its keep—just like the people I make it for.
No Background Noise – My designs are clean, intentional, and free of gimmicks. Form follows function. Always.
Born from Utility, Refined with Skill – I started making leather gear because I needed it to work. The refinement came later—but the purpose never changed.
Not Built for Everyone – Valent Leather isn’t for people chasing cheap or trendy. It’s for people who value real, rugged craftsmanship that earns its scars.
You Can Smell the Difference – Real leather. Real oils. No fake finishes or factory smells—just the unmistakable scent of honest material.
Crafted With a Combat Mindset – Attention to detail isn’t optional. It’s muscle memory—from field dressings to leather edges.
Grit Over Gloss – Valent gear doesn’t need polish to impress. It stands out because it works better, not because it shouts louder.
Functional Gear, Not Fluff – I don’t make accessories. I make tools you carry every day. Tools that solve problems, feel good in your hand, and earn character as you use them.
No Hype—Just Horween – I only use top-tier American leather from Horween because shortcuts don’t belong in craftsmanship. You’ll feel the difference. So will your grandkids.
Designs With a Backbone – I don’t chase trends. I build wallets, straps, and goods designed to hold up, stand out, and wear in, not out.
One-Man Shop, No Assembly Lines – Every piece is cut, stitched, and finished by me. No teams, no outsourcing, no “made for me” mass production nonsense.
Stitching That Holds Stories – Saddle-stitched with Maine Thread—not machine sewn—because there’s no cheat code for real durability.
Quietly Custom, Always Personal – You won’t find flashy logos or factory barcodes. Just your style, your specs, and a maker who gives a damn.
Straight Shooter Service – I don’t ghost customers. I answer questions, give real timelines, and back up my work—period.
Horween leather CompanyThis is leather made the old way, in a brick building on the Chicago River where they’ve been tanning hides since 1905. Not “heritage-inspired.” Actual heritage. Hands in the barrels. Oil in the air. Time, not chemicals. You want something that wears in, not out? Horween delivers. Pull it, bend it, beat the hell out of it—and it doesn’t quit. It gets better. The color deepens. The scars blend into the story. Whether it's their wax-rich Dublin, the rugged grain of Derby, or the legendary Shell Cordovan, every hide is unique, tactile, and unmistakably alive.
Machine-made leather tries to hide its flaws. Horween shows them off. That scar? That wrinkle? That’s real. That’s the difference between something that’s designed to impress and something that’s designed to last.
You can smell it. You can feel it. And once you carry it, you won’t settle for less.
This isn’t just leather. It’s what leather is supposed to be.
The Horween leathers I use for my products.
🟫 Horween Dublin
A vegetable‑tanned hide infused with rich natural waxes and hot‑plated for a rugged finish. Dublin showcases strong pull‑up character, highlighting the natural grain with depth and patina as it ages.
Available Colors: Black, Brown Nut, Cobalt Blue, English Tan, Greener Pastures, Golf Green, Natural, Light Natural, Olde English, Russet Brown.
🟤 Horween Derby
A rustic variant of the Essex line: vegetable‑tanned, wax‑infused, and tumbled to accentuate a textured, high‑contrast pebbled finish. Derby is softer than Dublin but equally full of patina potential.
Available Colors: Natural, Light Natural, English Tan, Brown Nut, Black, Cobalt Blue, Olde English, Russet Brown.
🖤 Horween Shell Cordovan
The legendary equine leather—dense, ultra‑glossy, and crease‑resistant. Crafted from horsehide after months of curing and polishing, Shell Cordovan ages slowly and rewards the patient with timeless depth and shine.

🟠 Horween Cypress
A combination‑tanned leather blending chrome and heavy vegetable retannage. It’s nourished with waxes and oils, mechanically dried for dense structure, then stained and ironed for a refined surface that’s both strong and tactile.
